This varies.  Hand made items take time.  It's part of their special value.  Turnaround is generally 6 weeks, however, some items need extra time.  During the Summer Spencer runs an outdoor school and work time is very limited.  He will often text or send picture updates on progress.

Yes.  STD Knives are not a stock reduction build company.  Spencer uses one of his two coal fired forges to anneal, harden, treat, shape, taper, thin and work all steels.

Yes!  There are often special deals listed on the website pages.  Check back often.  Spencer also offers deals in person at his many events throughout the year.  Host Spencer for a class in your town or become a wholesale distributor for further discounts and free thank yous!

Steel varies with price, but all steels are suitable for actual field use.  Common sources include carbon steel saw blades, American steel vehicle springs, bar stock tool steels, and alloy folded welds.  Spencer does not use D2 or stainless steels. 

Browse the gallery, decide what features you want or just have an end-use idea.  Contact Spencer for a final quote and pay up front using our standard methods.  Knife will be shipped on completion.  If you are unhappy for any reason Spencer will refund your money or replace the knife upon receipt of the original piece.  Please include contact information and order details with all payment methods.
